As we say goodbye to June, we can't help but reflect on the incredible experiences we shared at this year's Unique Summer Camp. It was a month filled with growth, friendship, and unforgettable memories. We are so grateful to everyone who participated and made it a truly unique and empowering experience.
Highlights of Unique Summer Camp
1. Empowerment Workshops:
Every morning, we kicked off the camp with a series of empowerment workshops designed to boost self-esteem and confidence. Our campers engaged in activities that helped them recognize their unique strengths and embrace their individuality.
2. Modeling Classes and Casting for Orlando Fashion Week: One of the most exciting additions this year was our modeling classes. Campers had the unique opportunity to learn from professional modeling coaches, honing their runway walk, posing techniques, and overall presence. To top it off, they got the chance to cast for Orlando Fashion Week, giving them a taste of the professional fashion world and an incredible boost to their confidence.
3. Creative Expression: Creativity was at the heart of our camp. Our arts and crafts sessions allowed campers to express themselves through various mediums, from painting to crafting personalized jewelry. It was wonderful to see their artistic talents flourish.
4. Etiquette Class: Our etiquette class was a favorite among the girls. They learned essential social skills, including how to sit properly, set a formal table, dine according to the dish, and gracefully get in and out of a car. These lessons will serve them well in various social and professional settings.
5. Wellness and Self-Care:
We dedicated time to wellness and self-care, teaching our campers the importance of taking care of their mental and physical health. As part of this, we offered skin care and hair care classes, providing valuable tips and routines for maintaining healthy skin and hair. Additionally, the girls participated in taekwondo and flamenco classes, which not only promoted physical fitness but also cultural appreciation and self-discipline.
6. Baking Classes: Our baking classes were a sweet addition to the camp. The girls had a fantastic time learning how to bake a variety of treats, from cookies to cupcakes. These classes not only taught them valuable culinary skills but also emphasized the importance of patience, precision, and creativity in the kitchen.
7. Mentorship and Friendship:
One of the most rewarding aspects of Unique Summer Camp was witnessing the strong bonds formed between our campers. Our mentorship program paired younger campers with older mentors, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment. The friendships that blossomed are sure to last a lifetime.
