Our Founder

Meet Our Founder

Ruth Leysa is the visionary behind Ünique Girls Academy, a premier self-esteem and etiquette program designed to empower young girls to thrive confidently in all areas of life.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico as the eldest of three siblings, Ruth was shaped by the unwavering resilience of her mother. Despite life’s challenges, her mother’s belief in Ruth's potential led to a transformative opportunity: a scholarship to study modeling, self-care, and social etiquette. These foundational skills instilled in Ruth the confidence, poise, and professionalism that paved the way for her success.

Ruth further honed her expertise by earning a degree in Business Administration and Marketing, equipping her with the knowledge to build and lead successful programs dedicated to empowerment and growth.

In an industry once limited by narrow definitions of beauty, Ruth persisted. In 2017, her perseverance paid off when a model search landed her a contract with Wilhelmina Models. Since then, she has established herself as a successful model, working with renowned brands such as Target, Macy’s, Kohl’s, JCPenney, Burlington, and more.

This journey ignited a dream — to empower other girls to recognize their worth and embrace their unique qualities with confidence.

That dream is now a reality: Ünique Girls Academy. Rooted in faith and dedicated to excellence, the academy’s mission is to help every girl discover her self-worth, grace, and individuality. Ruth’s experiences as a mother, aunt, youth leader, professional model, and businesswoman have given her profound insight into the importance of nurturing the next generation.

At Ünique Girls Academy, we believe that kindness, grace, and elegance are the true beauty standards. Every girl is celebrated as she is — wonderfully made and truly unique.

We invite you to give your daughter the enriching experience she deserves — one that will equip her with lifelong confidence and poise.

Welcome to Ünique Girls Academy.
